How to mark an Email as simple junk in Outlook Mail

Step 1: Go to outlook.com in your computer’s web browser. This will open your Outlook inbox if you’re logged in.

If you aren’t logged in, click Sign in in the top-right corner of the page, then enter your email address and password.

Step 2: Into the inbox in Outlook. Click the envelope-shaped “Mail” this will open your Outlook inbox in a new tab.

Step 3: Select an email from the contact. Click once the email from the contact whom you’ve blocked.

Step 4: Click “Junk“.

Step 5: Click “Junk Email“. Doing so opens a list of the emails you’ve marked as junk.

Step 6: Select the contact’s email. Click once the email to select it. If there are multiple emails you marked as junk, click the checkbox on the far-left side of each email to select all of them.

Step 7: Click “Block“.

Step 8: Click “OK“. Doing so confirms your decision and makes sure that the contact’s email address is added to the “Block Senders” list. You should no longer receive emails from the contact.

Note: It may take a few hours (or a few days) for the contact’s emails to stop coming through.
