How to delete Gmail account quickly.
Step 1: Change the Email for Online Accounts.
Are you using this particular email to log into any services across the web? Make sure you change the emails associated with those accounts before proceeding.
Step 2: Export Your Gmail Emails. Deleting a Gmail account deletes all the emails and other information contained within that account. To preserve that content, download it before you hit delete.
Step 3: Access Account Preferences. While signed into the account you wish to delete, navigate to myaccount.google.com, or click your account avatar on the top-right. Select Google Account. A new page will open; under Account Preferences, click “Delete your account or services“.
Step 4: Delete Google Products. You will have two options: Delete Products, which will allow you to delete your account from a Google service; and Delete Google Account and data, which will let you delete your entire Google Account.Click “Delete Products“.
Step 5: Choose Your Gmail Address. Google will list all the Google services affiliated with your Gmail address. Click the trash can icon next to Gmail to delete you email address.
Step 6: Enter Alternate Email Address. Google will then request a non-Gmail alternative email. Once you enter the alternative email, you’ll have to verify it before you can continue with the deletion process.
Step 7: Verify Alternate Email Address. Log into your non-Gmail email address and you will see an email from Google with the subject line “Gmail Deletion Confirmation.” You must now verify the non-Gmail email address as your alternate email address.
Step 8: Click “delete Gmail“. Confirm Gmail Deletion.
Step 9: Clear Browsing History. If you’ve ever used Gmail’s offline feature, your web browser probably saved some information from the now-deleted account. Go to your browser settings and delete your browser cache and clear the cookies to ensure that all Gmail-related information is erased.
With these simple steps, you can delete your Gmail account when you are not using it, without affecting other Google services provided. Wish you are succesful!
